SomaSawa
In many classrooms across Western Kenya, some students are quietly falling through the cracks – not because they can’t learn, but because their teachers don’t always have the tools to reach them. Soma Sawa – “learn well” in Swahili – works with those teachers, building their skills and confidence so every student gets a genuine chance to keep up and move forward.
SomaSawa Approach:
- Building public school teachers capacity with innovative interventions to enhance students learning in their classrooms.
- Mentor and support teachers as they strive to address barriers to learning and improve student outcomes.
- Give learners access to resources and tools that will enable them to build foundational and advanced skills for lifelong learning.
- Advocate for policy change and curriculum support by engaging county and national education leaders and stakeholders in all levels of our work.
