At Omungi Primary School, learners are making great strides in literacy, thanks to the engaging SATPIN word-making activities introduced by SomaSawa. SomaSawa is a program of Sawa Africa that implements evident based interventions in under performing public schools to close the gaps in literacy, numeracy and life skills. The interventions used include SATPIN. These hands-on activities, which align with SomaSawa core principles of learner-centered, relatable, and confidence-building instruction, are sparking a love for learning among Omungi’s young scholars.
