About Us
Dorothy Dulo is a social entrepreneur dedicated to restoring dignity and opportunity to underserved communities in rural Western Kenya through faith based education, economic empowerment, and community service.
As Founder and Executive Director of Sawa Africa, she has led a literacy and numeracy initiative that serves children left behind by the traditional school system in rural Western Kenya since 2022. Through her leadership of Sawa Africa, she has designed and scaled holistic development programs-including vocational training for girls, health outreach, cross-cultural exchanges, and community education-that embody Christian values, long-term, locally-led transformation.
Dorothy has mobilized talent, resources and built partnerships with churches, universities, and grassroots leaders, fostering sustainable models of change rooted in love, justice, and service.
Recognized by D-Prize, Zuri Awards, and Women of Style, she brings deep integrity, humility, and a vision for systemic renewal to every
endeavor. During her free time she enjoys cooking authentic African dishes, gardening and spending time with friends.
Dorothy’s mission is to equip vulnerable communities with the tools and voice to write their own future-by grace, and for good.
